My heart was absolutely breaking reading your story Chris. Father's play such a crucial role in the home. Especially as priests as you've so beautifully described. I'm so sorry you were without a Father. Obviously, you've found some good mentors in your life to help shape you into the man you are today. Not only that, you have found healing in having a perfect heavenly Father that loves you more perfectly than any human father could. We have to help other fatherless young men find their way to manhood alongside their heavenly Father too.

This a great tool to build fathers into priests.

Great job Chris. The more people that live from our priestly identity, the closer we are to revival.

Catholic or Protestant, Men need to step up and fill the gap, as you described. Men need to know what they believe--and are responsible for leading their children in the formation of their own faith. Nor does this stop when the children are grown. I would argue that my relationship with my adult sons, with regards to our Christian faith, to be just as important now; as young adults they are facing great challenges in the home and the workplace, so I am available and present in their lives, supporting and exhorting them, including in the parenting of our grandchildren. I'm retired, but no less busy, challenging older men in our small group to deepen their grasp of biblical truth, and look for ways to bless their children and grandchildren.

I'm so glad to be reading historical accounts of women priests and elders in the years following the resurrection of Jesus.

Even though my church denomination has been allowing (? love that word) women to be ministers for quite some time, I have not know the history of women in service until recently. I agree we all should be priests - working for and with God - for His glory. P

reaching, teaching, writing, podcasting - however we can share the Good News.

Women can be spiritual advisors in the household and workplace. In every situation, we are acting as ambassadors of Jesus.

Agreed. We should all embrace the priesthood that’s intended for us.
