Struggling to find purpose in the waiting? This article explores what to do when your life feels like it’s on pause — and how God uses hidden seasons, like Joseph in prison, to shape your calling. Your pain isn’t wasted. Your work still matters.
Loved this: ‘Purpose is more than a career. It’s more than a hustle, content, or a dream job.
Purpose is living like you were sent.’
I have an Elizabeth Elliot quote on my desk that has a similar tone:
‘This job has been given for me to do, Therefore it is a gift. Therefore it is a privilege. Therefore it is an offering I may make to God. Therefore it is to be done gladly, as it is done for Him. Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God’s way. In this job, not in another, God looks for faithfulness.’
I’m right in the midst of all you wrote. I want so much to be where I can encourage, love, and minister to others and I know I’m doing that in a small way where I am…I never thought I’d be in this tiny rural area in TX. So much…thank you for the words. I am SO in the messy middle
Moses, a shepherd for 40 years, when the Lord sent him he asked Moses, What do you have in you hand? Exodus 4:2, 17 The Lord repurposed his shepherds staff. It went from being Moses' staff the being the staff of God, yet still in his hand. Exodus 4:20

This showed up right on time. Of course it did.
Just the sermon I needed today, thank you for writing it.

"Purpose often begins in what’s left."

And definitely I needed this today.
