Hi friend, I’m Chris.

At my core, I’m a pastor, a writer, and a worship leader, but more than titles, I’m someone who has been wrecked by the grace of Jesus and can’t help but share it.

I grew up in the church, the kind of kid who could sing the songs by heart before I could explain what they meant. Over time, faith became less of a Sunday routine and more of a lifeline. I’ve walked through seasons of doubt, hurt, and wondering if God saw me. But in those valleys, I discovered that He wasn’t just waiting at the finish line. He was right there in the middle of the mess with me. That’s shaped everything I do today.

My heart has always been for those who feel left out or overlooked. Maybe you’ve felt burned by organized religion. Perhaps you’ve sat in a pew and wondered if anyone would notice if you slipped out. I’ve been there, and I want you to know this: God hasn’t forgotten you. That’s why this Substack exists. It’s not about polished devotionals or another religious checkbox. It’s about honest faith, lived in community, where questions are welcome and grace is abundant.

Worship

Worship has been part of my story since I was a teenager, piano or guitar in hand, stumbling through chord changes but full of passion. Even now, when I get to lead worship, it feels like setting the table for God to show up and do what only He can do. The music isn’t the point. It’s the presence. And there’s nothing like watching people encounter Him in ways that words alone could never accomplish.

God’s Word

God’s Word has been my anchor. I love how Scripture isn’t just an ancient book; it’s a living conversation between God and us. Every time I open it, I learn something new—not just about Him, but about myself. Preaching and teaching aren’t about having all the answers. For me, it’s more like inviting others into the questions, the discoveries, and the hope I’ve found. Those moments, standing before a congregation, pointing people to Jesus, are some of the most meaningful of my life.

You’re Invited

Grab your favorite mug, settle in, and let’s walk through this together. Faith isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about leaning into a God who holds us even when we don’t. My prayer is that through these words, you’ll be reminded that you’re not alone, that you matter deeply, and that this messy, beautiful adventure of faith is worth every step.
