An honest reflection on the Christmas story, the manger, and the promise of Immanuel. Written for those feeling distant from God, questioning faith, or carrying pain into the Christmas season.
This is so beautiful. Thank you for allowing God to speak through you. Hearing God’s word, just how you wrote it, is exactly what I needed during this time. amen.
Captivating. Even now, two days away, I don't know what emotions my Christmas will bring, but because of your beautifully expressed insight, I'm resolved to receive them with open hands.
This was beautifully written. Thank you for adding to the cloud of witnesses and bolstering my faith in Jesus Christ.
Please pray for my friend Natallia. Christmas is difficult. Everything is difficult right now. Here's her story. People need to know. John the Baptist spoke of Herod's wickedness and Jesus exposed the evil in his day. We didn't fight people we are called to fight evil. How do we fight if we don't know what it is doing? The full gospel is real and rugged like you say. Jesus is there for everything we go through.
Proverbs 31:8-9 we must speak for for the voiceless and the oppressed.
It “bolstered”my faith as Suzanne Montague said in her note. I’ve walked with God many years now, learning every day a new thing or an enhanced
Relational spin. It’s beautiful! I i enjoy your insight and I am thrilled to learn more truths; deeper truths. And, yes, I liked that you navigated away from the normal idea and unearthed the real truth. Thank uou!
Thank you for your writing about our Messiah, our Savior and our Immanuel, Jesus. I am very happy this Christmas, which is certainly not always the case in my history of Christmases. I have Jesus Christ to thank for being my STRENGTH, my PEACE, my JOY, my SALVATION AND THE ONE WHO CHOSE ME, A SINNING HUMAN BEING, AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN BY MY SIDE, EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY, AFFIRMING AND TEACHING ME OF HIS UNFATHOMABLE LOVE ❤️ AND THE FACT THAT FOR JESUS, I AM ALWAYS ENOUGH.
The genealogy of Jesus is so under appreciated, especially at Christmas. I dove into it as well with my post today. Thank you for this wonderful post.

Thank you for this!
It's so important to include those struggling at Christmas - they can be, and often feel, forgotten.
I wrote a piece called "THERE'S A BLACK HOLE IN MY CHRISTMAS" for this very reason. I posted it a week or two ago: https://open.substack.com/pub/ruthsermon/p/a-black-hole-at-christmas?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=6ehojf
